Clay-Chalkville High School offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare each student for his current needs, higher education, or entry into the world of work.

CCHS offers the Advanced Academic Diploma and the Standard Diploma.

All high schools in the Jefferson County School District operate under a four block term schedule. Each student is offered four classes during the fall term (August-December) and four classes during the spring term (January-May).

Basic Information Regarding Block Scheduling:

A full year of work is completed during each term.

Students take four classes each term.

Each class period is 96 minutes.

Grades are issued at the end of each term (18 weeks).

Students will receive a mid-term grade after 9 weeks (progress report).

Five days is the maximum number of days a student can be absent and receive credit.

The maximum amount of credits a student receives each year is 8.

Half credits will not be granted.

The term exam will count 20% of the final average for a course.
